Juan Soto, the 23-year-old Nationals star, won the 2022 MLB Home Run Derby, knocking off Mariners rookie Julio RodrÃguez in the finals. This is the first time Soto has won the Derby.

Soto and RodrÃguez put on a show for the fans at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles. Soto hit 53 home runs in the first round, the most in Derby history. RodrÃguez hit 32 home runs in the first round, the second-most in Derby history.
In the finals, Soto hit 19 home runs, while RodrÃguez hit 18. Soto won the Derby on his final swing, sending a 442-foot home run into the left-field seats.
